Very, very, very short fiction

Submissions (no poetry, please) must be 100 words or fewer--title not included in word count--and may be sent to tuesdayshorts AT yahoo DOT com.

In the subject header, write, "Tuesday Short."  Be sure to include with your submission any biographical information and website links you would like to appear with your story.  If we don't receive biographical information, we won't post it.  And we'd rather post it.

Each author may send up to three piecesNo attachments - stories should go in the body of the email.  Please include all pieces in the same message, when possible.  (It's not a big deal if you send the second or third as an afterthought, though.)

Three new stories will post every other Tuesday.

 All submissions are read blind.

Authors whose work was not selected for publication are encouraged to submit new pieces.

SPECIAL SHORTS

Every now and then, TS will announce a special submission opportunity.  For example:

Silk Drawers:  your best prose poetry (100 words or less)

Granny Panties:  your best story of EXACTLY 100 words

Thong:  your best story of twenty - yes, twenty - words or less.

There may be more.  As always, stay tuned.  Announcements will be made well ahead of time.  The stories we choose from the Special Submission calls will appear in place of regular submissions.

TS's "SHAMELESSLY SELF-PROMOTE YOURSELF!"

Here's how it works:

A message will be posted asking authors to guess a number, fruit, color, or other arbitrary item.  You will, of course, be given a range or selection from which to choose.  (We won't say, "Guess which fruit I'm thinking of!" and not give you a list of, say, ten fruits.  There are simply too many fruits in the world.  Instead, we'll say, "Am I thinking of a tomato? An apple?  A banana?"  You get the gist.)

Answers will be shouted out by you in the form of an email that must be received in the time period we give you.  The first to provide the correct (or closest to correct) answer within the given time frame will win the opportunity to plug her or his work, website, photos, and anything else you want (within reason) in a special Tuesday Shorts Saturday posting that will stay up for one week.  Unless we forget to take it down, in which case you still benefit.

Help us help you!  The more readers and writers you bring to Tuesday Shorts, the larger our network will be, and so will your audience/potential readership.

THE END.
